University of Maryland – College Park. The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track position from persons with expertise in qualitative research methods. Rank is open, and the position is subject to final budgetary approval. Candidates would be expected to take a leading role in the department’s graduate training in qualitative methods and in developing an integrated graduate training program with other qualitative researchers at the University. The University of Maryland is located near Washington, D.C., (“inside the beltway”) close to a wide variety of research and policy organizations.
