Just the EEO form a few weeks ago. Anyone know about their hiring speed from previous years?

I don't think they finalized their hire last year until around March, but I don't remember when the application deadline was.

What does it mean that they've made a long list? Does anyone have any information on this?

I don't have specific info on Vandy, but generally a long list means that the search committee has created a list of anywhere from 10-20 (or more, that varies by department) to actively consider for the job (and to closely read all materials--sometimes this first cut is based solely on CVs and cover letters). In some departments, the full faculty will look at this long list and vote to select interviewees... in others, the committee will select interviewees (or winnow the list down a bit further before having the whole faculty decide who to interview).
So, being on a long list is a necessary, but not sufficient, cause for being interviewed.

The wiki says they've made an offer. For the tenured positions? Tenure track? Any word?
