The Education, Human Development and the Workforce Division at American Institutes for Research (AIR) works collaboratively with clients to examine a wide range of projects involving individual and organizational performance. AIR prides itself in conducting high-impact, high-stakes projects for significant Federal, state, and private organizations. We are currently seeking a Research Analyst with strong quantitative skills, including data analysis and survey development, for our Washington, D.C. office.
Responsibilities:
The Research Analyst serves on a wide variety of social science projects that examine individual and organizational performance. Our projects involve program evaluation, statistical analyses training design and evaluation, test design and validation, and employment recruitment, selection, and retention. General position responsibilities in addition to technical duties include serving as a task leader, interfacing with AIR clients, preparing and managing project budgets, and contributing to proposals.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in Sociology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Psychology, Applied Experimental Psychology, or related discipline; experience or background in program evaluation, psychometrics, human performance measurement, and research design; excellent written and oral communications; ability to plan and carry out quantitative data analyses; experience in developing surveys; background in designing and conducting research projects as part of a research team, including proposal writing; strong quantitative research skills (experience using statistical software and data management of large data sets a plus); and strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
