Now that people are starting to get offers, would anyone mind sharing what their offers are looking like (salary, startup, etc) and what success they've had in negotiating? I'd also be really interested in hearing from recent Assistant Profs about things you wish you had negotiated for.

I am also wondering about this. My advisor thinks salaries and negotiation will be down this year due the numerous factors tipping the market into the offering schools' favor this year.

weird question--if one asked for reduced or free undergrad tuition for their (not-married) partner as part of their package, would that be an entirely unprecedented and bizarre request, or something that would be considered feasible? especially if it's not a degree from, say, Harvard, but rather a mid-level college or university. anyone have insight on this?

I believe such a request would fall under the "too far out there" to ask. But many universities have some sort of tuition break that may extend to partners. I suppose one could ask about this, but I cannot imagine being able to negotiate for this:
terms of my job, hired last year at R1 in major city:
75,000 salary 35,000 research budget 2-2 teaching load, with 2 course reduction semester leave at full pay or year leave at half pay after 3rd year review 4,000 CPU budget

$75K is on the high end (most certainly not a mean) but not unusual for a recent offer at an R1 or elite liberal arts school.

the following link contains the AAUP survey of salaries by institution. Keep in mind that it's a survey of all faculty at all levels. That is, just because it says that assistant professors at XYZ university make a certain amount on average, that doesn't mean that an incoming assistant professor in sociology would make that much: chronicle.com/stats/aaup/75 k is very high, but not unheard of.

Stupid question: What does "with 2 course reduction" mean? (Sounds like a recipe to me)

2-2 teaching means he/she teaches 2 courses in the Fall and 2 courses in the Spring (thus he/she is teaching 4 courses a year). A two-course reduction then takes two courses off of his/her required courses. This can be done by teaching one course in Fall / one course in Spring...or teach two courses either in the Fall or the Spring. FYI: the only stupid question that exists is the one that is not asked...and the ones TheEconomist ever poses

What does the "$35,000 research budget" mean? I assume that's not per year so is like for all time, or what?

Some colleges pay an amount per year, some give a one lump some. In this case, it is a one lump sum that must be spent in a certain amount of time, usually before tenure review.
