I have pretty much decided that I want to leave academia after finishing my degree. Well, I was maybe 95% sure. Recently I was invited to interview at a great school in a decent city but am not sure if I should go through with the interview to avoid wasting their time and mine.
Thoughts?

It obviously depends on how sure you are about leaving academia, something nobody on this board can help you figure out. If you are unsure, then you should go on the interview. If you are sure you want out, don't waste anybody's time.

Do you have a non-academic job already secured? I've been considering the same thing, but after sending out several applications I've run into just as many dead ends as I have on the academic job market. If it were me, I wouldn't shut the door on anything right now. Just my two cents.
