Canon has officially announced its XC10 4K Camcorder which combines convenient 4K/Full HD video shooting and 12 Megapixel digital still photography. The XC10 Camcorder uses the Canon XF-AVC codec for 4K and HD recording. 4K Ultra HD video offers bit rates up to 305MBps and saved to an internal CFast card. An SD card slot is also available although video capture is limited to full HD, up to 60p. 8MP stills can be grabbed from 4K video or you can take 12MP photos as you would on any conventional stills camera.
