The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX10/LX15 is a 20MP large-sensor compact with a bright (F1.4-2.8), 24-72mm equivalent zoom lens. Which is to say, it's a very capable pocket camera. And, being a Panasonic, it has video specs and clever video-based features to back up its stills capabilities. The Panasonic DMC-LX10/LX15 combines a 20.1-megapixel 1"-type sensor with a Leica-branded 24-72mm equivalent lens that has an impressive f/1.4-2.8 maximum aperture. 4K video is a big part of Panasonic's offerings with the LX10/LX15. In addition to standard 4K UHD video recording at 30fps, the camera also provides users with 4K Live Cropping.
If you record some 4K footave via this great 4K camera, you may need to edit it in Final Cut Pro X for better sharing. But you have to spend long time on rendering. I get some MP4 files to edit and believe I've figured out the solution for editing Panasonic 4K MP4 files in Final Cut Pro X flawlessly without rendering. How to import Panasonic DMC-LX10/LX15 4K MP4 files to FCP X without rendering?
Step 1. Add Panasonic DMC-LX10/LX15 4K MP4 files
Install and run the top 4K Video Converter; click "Add File" icon to load your Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX10/LX15 4K MP4 videos. Another method to import files is the simple drag-and-drop operation. Batch conversion is supported so you can load multiple files at a time.
Step 2. Choose FCP X friendly format
Click the "Profile" option, move mouse cursor to "Final Cut Pro" category and select "Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov)" as output format. To get 1080 videos, we need to click the "Settings" button and choose 1920*1080 as output video resolution.
Tip: Click the Settings icon if you'd like to customize advanced audio and video parameters like Video Codec, aspect ratio, bit rate, frame rate, Audio codec, sample rate, audio channels. If you want to join all the imported files, just select all files and tick "Merge all files into one" on the bottom.

Click the "Convert" button to transcode Panasonic DMC-LX10/LX15 4K MP4 to ProRes MOV for FCP X on Mac with top video and audio quality.
