Canon has just released the VIXIA HF G40 in CES 2016. It is a compact, capable and easy to use camcorder, features a Genuine Canon 20x HD Video Lens offering a 35mm equivalent of 26.8–576mm with a minimum object distance of just 23.6 inches (60cm).
