new positions of interest

How are there new jobs posted in the "new positions of interest" section that don't get posted on the ASA job bank or in the Chronicle?

[tldr]

Some schools, specially smaller departments, only advertise in cheaper/more local places.

for example, higheredjobs.com will have a bunch of positions from community colleges and so on that don't make it to the bigger sites.

I repost some jobs from the sociologists for women in society listserve, and some gets sent to me from my school's career services list serve or from the department secretary.
