as the job season moves on I'm betting a lot of us will be looking for postdocs. Can we add a postdoc forum, similar to the job postings forum, where people can post information about new postdocs that others might not have heard about?

May I suggest you consider forming one? You can probably speak to the administrator about what's involved. I would call it the "Build It And They Will Come" effect.
