the wiki says that University of Washington has made a short list; how were people notified they were on it, email, phone?

I was contacted by email. No idea of how many are on the list, though.

Ditto, I got an email. What a relief to finally not be out of the loop on something! I got to put an X on the wiki, so I guess the job market year is not a total and complete loss .

Did they notify anyone on the shortlist for the interviews yet? I am on the shortlist and I was just curious about when I should expect to hear from them, if I do at all that is.

My email said in the next couple weeks. It's only been one. Chill . Just enjoy that feeling of "I'm in the game!!!" while it lasts.

Bah, I'm in danger of driving myself crazy with this. I should take a wiki break. I don't know about you guys, but I'm finding being on the job market to be very un-enjoyable! Too many ups and downs for my taste.

I got the call, but can't say if all of them have been made. Sorry yyy - I feel like I've been there a million times, we all have. You know what they say about the job market: it's like hitting your head against a brick wall. Eventually, the brick wall breaks.
In any case, I'll likely flub the interview anyway - then they'll be beating down your door looking for better candidates, if they are not planning to do so already!

yyyiii -congrats to you. Best of luck on your interview. I must say I'm more than a bit envious- a great job at a great place! Can I ask, did they call or email?

Hey, annnonnnnyyyiiii - there's no need to be so self-deprecating! I'm sure your application has a lot of strengths and that's why you're already getting responses. If you don't toot your own horn a bit it might not be tooted.
